For S/S18 concepts of seasons grow more fluid – approached as states of mind, rather than rigid definitions. The idea of dressing for distinct seasons is giving way to a more versatile approach,
with items that can be styled up or down throughout the year – or even from day to night. Broad-appeal basics are important here, but so is quality: we want items that will last with a focus
on buying less, but better. The cult of the individual is strong and personal interpretations are essential.

“It’s all about looking to the past to inspire the new, creating items that feel familiar, but also fresh.” said Agata Kozak, founder and designer of COSSAC. Just as with each of its collections, the range of garments in SS18 ‘Transeasonal Diaries’ emulates the essence and purpose of a Capsule Wardrobe. The collection consists of statement pieces that are sassy yet easy-to-wear and include redefined basics.

“One of the most fulfilling aspects of owning an eco fashion label is the creative process; how each season I have the freedom to create new designs and draw on so much inspiration. There’s a lot of work that goes into each collection, from the designing, through to researching innovative eco-friendly fabrics, selecting the colour palette and working with our production partners on samples. But then to be able to see my ideas be brought to life always feels like a great sense of achievement.”
