MILA: A Mediterrasian Symphony

At the heart of South Beach lies our editor’s pick, MILA. A unique blend of Mediterranean and Japanese gastronomy—dubbed ‘Mediterrasian’ cuisine—MILA is a haven for those seeking to embark on a culinary journey that embraces both health and taste. With a glamorous, vibrant atmosphere that includes a rooftop lounge and mixology bar, this dining destination merges celebration with an elevated dining experience, making every visit a unique encounter.

Fiola: A Michelin Star Touch in Miami

Drawing inspiration from regional Italian dishes and seasonal ingredients, Fiola, located in Coral Gables, brings the sophistication of Michelin-starred dining to Miami. The creative brainchild of Chef-Owner Fabio Trabocchi, Fiola is a dining experience that brings the Michelin-star quality of Fiola D.C. to Miami. From handmade pastas and innovative entrées, every bite tells a story.

On May 2nd, Fiola introduced a new vegetarian tasting menu crafted by Executive Chef Daniel Ganem. The five-course menu is a testament to Ganem’s artistic culinary skills and passion for locally sourced produce. Menu highlights include White Asparagus Carpaccio, Pasta e Verdura, and a vibrant English Pea Acquerello Risotto, capped off with a delectable Panna Cotta for dessert.

LEKU: A Taste of Spain in the Rubell Museum

Tucked away in the Rubell Museum lies LEKU, a hidden treasure bringing the delights of Spain’s Côte Basque region to Miami’s Allapattah neighborhood. LEKU’s cuisine marries innovation with traditional Basque cooking methods, using local ingredients to create a unique dining experience. With an impressive “Basque grill” at the center of its outdoor area, LEKU serves full-flavored, fresh, seasonal offerings in a magical indoor to outdoor setting, encapsulating the Basque culinary experience. It’s the perfect place to unwind and savor the menu before or after a visit of the Rubell Museum, or the Superblue Museum, found on the other side of the street.

Sofia: A Fusion of Italian Cuisine and Design

Our final recommendation is Sofia, a recent addition to the iconic Miami Design District neighborhood. Italian culinary artistry fuses with couture design and contemporary art, providing a glamorous and fashion-forward experience. With a menu crafted by Chef Stuart Cameron and a rotating collection of internationally acclaimed art, Sofia encapsulates everything that the neighborhood stands for – a complete savory and cultural experience.

Will we see you in Miami ? We look forward with eager anticipation to the return of this gastronomic extravaganza in the coming year. Here’s to another year of celebrating food, culture, and the unending allure of Miami’s dining scene during Spice Months.
