Based in New York, Naeem Khan is an Indian-American designer born and raised in Mumbai. Khan was raised in a setting rich in history, culture, architecture, art, and design. Under the attentive gaze of his grandpa and father, both of whom created complex garments worn by Indian royal families, he developed a broad knowledge of textiles as a young lad. Khan eventually immigrated to the United States as a youngster to pursue his dream of becoming a designer, and at the age of 20, he began his career as an apprentice for renowned American designer Halston. In 2003, Khan debuted his own line, which he first sold at Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, and Saks Fifth Avenue. Since then, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift, Rachel McAdams, Michelle Obama, Queen Noor of Jordan, and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, among others, have all sported his creations. This season’s collection Jardin de nuit, we found ourselves delighted by floral mirage, punchy colors, and play of textures. Here are some of his designs from the colorful and elegant collection.
