About the brand
Oumaäti was created by Oumama and Naila, founders, sisters in life and professional project partners.
In their two respective fashion capitals, Casablanca and Paris, they individually studied fashion design and model making. Within Oumaäti, they have chosen to join forces to achieve a similar project: to perpetuate Moroccan leather craftsmanship through our father’s knowledge and know-how, resolutely anchoring it in modernity and using contemporary creation processes. Thus, Oumaäti communicates the desire to carry out an innovative undertaking while honouring an ancient art form.
Oumaäti bears witness to their shared passion for leather goods. Through them, Oumaäti contemplates heritage and draws on its roots, with its eyes fixed on the future and its promises. They are fully committed to preserving and promoting their legacy through leather workmanship, as well as promoting and highlighting the treasures and know-how of their homeland, Morocco.
In their family workshop in Casablanca, Morocco, all of their products are handcrafted. Maäti, their father and mentor, is at the helm, skillfully orchestrating the creation of their works, drawing on his 40 years of experience. Thus, they have control over the entire production chain, from design to manufacturing, without resorting to third parties.
All the components of their bags and their packaging are meticulously selected from Moroccan partners, with the ambition of offering high quality finished products while controlling the environmental impact of the production process.
