Submit HereWe offer a variety of submission options based on the type of your work and your publication needs. While we welcome all types of projects, from a photo series to a personal editorial project — your work must be unpublished and exclusive to Flanelle Magazine through the decision period and until publication, should your work be accepted. Please carefully read the submission guidelines below to determine which submission option best fits your needs, and find us on Kavyar to submit your work.
01 — Online
Digital Options
Get published in our monthly editorial series issue. Each editorial gets 6 pages.
At Flanelle, submitting your work is always free. Once submitted, our team will review your work and either accept or decline. If accepted, your editorial will be placed in our editorial calendar and published within 3 to 4 months. Our team will let you know the exact date once placed. Please select the “Standard Submission” option on Kavyar to submit.
Upgrades & Priority Submissions
We also have extra options for people who need to be published quickly, want a guaranteed social media feed post, or need our team to create a layout/tearsheet. These are all optional and have a fee.
- Priority PublishingHave your editorial published within 1 to 2 business days.
- TearsheetsReceive a digital copy of the tearsheets with logo.
- InstagramGuarantee an Instagram post by itself or alongside an editorial.
- CoverSecure a digital or print cover spot by choosing the secured Cover option. If rejected, get a full refund.
- All of the AboveOur graphic designer will make your layout and cover tearsheet, your editorial published in 48 hours, and images featured on Instagram.
02 — Print
Print Options
We publish quarterly prints in January, April, July, and October. Your photo set should include a minimum of 10 photos following the theme and mood board of the print. Editorials must be unpublished and exclusive. You can advertise your brand, photos, portfolio, or work by choosing the Advertorial option in Kavyar. We have two phases of review — the first upon submission, and a second round one week before the deadline. Only those selected in the second round will make it to print.
Submitting is always free. If accepted in the first phase, you will wait for a second approval one week before the deadline. For this reason, we suggest submitting your work closer to the deadline.

- Cover ChanceA cover contest giving 1 submitter a chance at the next print cover, and 3 submitters published on socials. One individual is selected per issue.
- Advertorials / InterviewGuaranteed 2–8 pages for an exclusive advertorial for photos, editorials, lookbooks, brands, designers, models, or photographers.
- CoverFront cover including up to 8 pages editorial in our print publication, plus social media exposure on Instagram post carousel.
03 — Social Media
Social
Being featured on Flanelle Magazine’s social media can be done by simply using #flanellemagazine and #flanellefeature. But because there are so many images sent to us (#flanellemagazine has around 70,000 mentions), we have a way to submit your images directly to our editor for social media purposes. Your image(s) and credits will be put on our platform(s).
05 — Writing
Article Submission
Flanelle Magazine is always on the lookout for writers that share our enthusiasm for original, relevant material. If you are interested in being a contributing writer on flanellemag.com regularly, or just write this one piece, please email info@flanellemag.com with a link to your résumé and past work. Please know that contributing writers are not paid.
Your articles may be on the web-blog or, if extremely pertinent and strong, in the print magazine. Remember that printed magazines are quarterly — therefore your articles must be pertinent for at least 1 year from now.
Terms & Conditions
By submitting materials you agree to Flanelle’s following terms and conditions:
- The photographer owns all the rights, including copyright, necessary to submit this photograph to Flanelle Magazine and grants Flanelle the rights to: publish in print, online and/or in digital format; and publish on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) and on the Flanelle Magazine website, which shall include the photographer’s name.
- I consent to indemnify Flanelle against any claim, demand, action, suit, or other proceedings against Flanelle arising out of the use of the photograph and related to any false or inaccurate statement.
- I grant this authorization free of charge and understand that Flanelle Magazine does not provide free print copies to collaborators published in printed issues. Flanelle does, however, provide the teams who were published with a free digital version when asked.
- Participants who have modeled or posed in the photo have assigned all relevant rights to the photographer.
I understand that submission does not mean acceptance, and that all submissions are subject to review.
