Scorpios Announces All-Female Lineup for 2025 Summer Art Programme

Scorpios has unveiled the full lineup for its 2025 summer art programme Encounters, marking the first time the series will feature an all-female roster of artists. Titled Ever After, this season’s edition will run across Scorpios’ two beachfront venues in Mykonos and Bodrum, opening on 25 July.

The programme, created in partnership with HOFA Gallery, brings together four leading voices in digital and generative art: Maja Petrić, Operator, Sasha Stiles and Krista Kim. Each artist presents new work that explores the intersection of ritual, technology and immersive storytelling. The series includes large-scale installations, live performances and curated digital art drops through Scorpios Collect.

Encounters was launched in 2023 and has become one of the Mediterranean’s most recognised platforms for experimental digital art. The initiative has welcomed over one million visitors across two seasons and has contributed more than 1.5 million dollars to rainforest preservation. Previous participants include Refik Anadol, Random International and Sougwen Chung.

In 2025, the programme returns with a new curatorial theme. Ever After reflects on the role of creativity in designing lives and systems that can adapt, transform and endure. The four featured artists are either winners or finalists of the inaugural Digital Art Awards at Phillips London, and their works engage with themes of vitality, memory and change.

Featured Works

Maja Petrić — Specimens of Time: Mykonos
Opening 25 July, Mykonos

Petrić, an Innovation Prize winner at the Digital Art Awards, debuts a new generative light sculpture that captures real-time environmental data from the Aegean. The work transforms sunlight, wind and temperature into a constantly shifting light composition. During the day, the piece refracts sunlight into layered motion. At night, it emits a data-driven glow. Lenticular prints and additional sculptures from the series will be presented alongside the main installation.

Operator, ‘Repeat as Necessary’ (Pre-visualisation), 2025, Scorpios Bodrum (Courtesy of the Artist & HOFA)

Operator — Repeat as Necessary
9–10 August, Bodrum

Operator, the performance and technology duo, presents a durational choreographic work in the Bodrum Ritual space. The piece is directed by Ania Catherine and incorporates breathwork, movement and sound to explore trance states and somatic awareness. Drawing on traditions such as Sufi sema music and sacred chant, the performance positions the human body as a living, responsive technology. Operator has previously shown work at Ars Electronica and Art Basel Miami.

Sasha Stiles — Heart Mantras
Late July, Bodrum

Poet and AI researcher Sasha Stiles introduces Heart Mantras, a generative poetry installation composed of real-time algorithmic text. Projected across four mirrored acrylic discs, the work loops and rewrites itself based on 50 AI-generated variations of a single poem. The installation combines elements of Buddhist sutra practice with recursive code and explores the ways in which language and memory evolve in human and machine contexts.

Krista Kim — Aura Chamber
End of July to End of September, Bodrum
Guided sessions: 1–2 August

Krista Kim, known for pioneering the Techism movement, brings her Aura Chamber series to Scorpios Bodrum. This meditative light and sound experience features animated visuals and vibroacoustic chairs that convert sound into full-body cymatic massage. Guests are invited into an immersive space designed to support mental clarity and digital wellness. Kim will lead a series of guided sessions in early August and release a limited digital edition from her Continuum series.

A Curated Season of Digital Immersion

According to HOFA Co-founder and Encounters Curator Elio D’Anna, the 2025 edition offers “living experiences that continue to unfold long after the moment of the encounter.” Scorpios Co-Founder Thomas Heyne added that the programme fosters “new modes of expression” and collective engagement through art, longevity practices and immersive rituals.

The 2025 Encounters programme signals a wider shift in the digital arts space. By highlighting female artists working at the edge of technological and creative exploration, Scorpios positions itself not just as a cultural venue but as a forward-facing platform for inclusive innovation.
