Have you ever been through a period when all your entourage is getting hitched? It can be very expensive between the gift, the dress, the shoes, the hairdresser… Your game plan might need some modifications. Well, somebody has already find a solution to at least reduce the spending on the most expensive thing on your list : the dress. The Montreal-based company called Rent 1 Dress, well described in the name itself, offer you to rent a dress for 48 hours to a week. This simple concept yet clever will be useful to manage your spendings for many of other soirées. The creative mind behind the concept, Sarra Ghribi, makes an appointment at her very own showroom. Once you are there, you can decide between 200 choices of dresses which goes from size 0 to 14. Depending on the occasion, you can end up with a cocktail dress, a long dress, a kaftan or even a saree! The selection of dresses goes from Zara to Vera Wang through Karen Millen. Loue 1 Robe also proposes you to make some extra money out of your dresses hidden in your closet. Everyone has dresses that they have been wearing once, so here is a chance to give them a new life. You just have to drop them by to the owner’s showroom and then each time they have been rent, you receive 30% of the price. Ultimately, Sarra has one wish, it is to “democratize luxury”. I can only agree.
