COS Autumn Winter 2021 will take place at London’s iconic Roundhouse, which has previously inspired artists, filmmakers, and avant-garde productions while offering limitless opportunities to young creative communities. The show unites the audience in a physical and digital space, emotively drawing the curtains open to a new direction for the brand, by projecting colour, light, and movement onto a blank canvas within this unique venue.
Fabrications, cuts, and colours – these are the fundamental principles that can be instantly recognized as COS. These elements emphasized the importance of style over fashion as an overarching priority.
The freedom to push the boundaries of traditional design is matched by the fluidity of movement through draped, layered designs and oversized fits when glancing to refresh a classic wardrobe. Tailored details are elevated, and the construction is refined, achieving a balance of simplicity and complexity, elegance and functionality. In a mulberry silk dress, enlarged collars and rounded sleeves evoke a retro influence, while slimmer proportions and tailoring in the form of a waistcoat and relaxed trousers evoke 1990s minimalism. Pleats add movement to skirts, while suiting adds a soft structure. Classic jackets are available in vivid cobalt blue or in leather, and are available in a variety of sizes.
