About ULOANI
Homa Ogundu founded ULOANI, a womenswear fashion company, in Canada in 2019. Whether it’s event clothing or streetwear, the brand is influenced by the Nigerian fashion industry and is created to stand out. ULOANI’s designs hug and emphasise a woman’s curves while also paying respect to the designer’s Nigerian culture.
ULOANI is derived from the Igbo words ‘Ulo’, which means ‘House,’ and ‘Ani,’ which means ‘Goddess of Creativity.’ The designs are created in Canada, however the production is done in China. ULOANI is committed to ensuring that all workers are treated fairly, with adequate working conditions and compensation, and is eager to partner with firms who value their employees.
