Amour Brut – which means raw love in french – was founded in 2018 by French designers and stylists Laura Da Costa and Alessandro Tedone.

L’Amour Brut is a narrative about conflict and the merging of two different views. On one half, a delicate and sensual affection, and on the other, a raw and unyielding façade with power that acts with wildness rather than against it.

In today’s society, the designers believe it is critical to take an environmentally responsible approach by upcycling the ends of rolls in equal sections of the collections.  As a result of this method, they are able to create one-of-a-kind pieces.

Their FW22 collection, ” The Pursuit of Happiness collection takes its inspiration from the 70s, 90s and 00s. L’Amour Brut is without limitations when it comes to mixing materials and colors, which is seen strongly in the red furry pants look or the green fishnet attire that is wrapped around the model.

” Behind this name ( Pursuit of Happiness ) there are several meanings for us, both literally, indeed for us this collection represents the fulfillment of a dream because it was showcased during a fashion week. And also figuratively, because we imagined it as a temporal pursuit because this collection is inspired by several periods, and several key moments of a life, from childhood to marriage. ”

” The collection starts with look 1, simple tee shirt and jeans that translate childhood, to follow with look 3 which represents being affirmed during the adolescence represented by the kitsch university jacket, the smileys are changing and can be seen as emotions through which we go in our life go from sadness with a :( sad emoji, to happiness with a :) emoji. Later the suits translate the integration in the active life, and the collection closes with the bride and groom, the last two looks, black and white but with yellow and pink. ”
