Bevza Fall/Winter 2025: A Study in Longevity

At New York Fashion Week FW25, Svitlana Bevza reaffirmed her commitment to quiet luxury, presenting a Fall/Winter 2025-2026 collection that prioritized longevity, craftsmanship, and understated sensuality. Held at the Ukrainian Institute on February 8, the presentation reflected her belief that clothing should be an investment, not a fleeting indulgence. “A coat should be a good investment,” Bevza remarked, setting the tone for a lineup that merged heritage and modernity with precision. Her reimagined Kozhukh, a traditional Ukrainian coat, exemplified this philosophy—shortened for contemporary wear with an exaggerated collar that allowed layers beneath, like a shimmering sequin skirt, to stand out.

While neutral tones remained at the core, the collection introduced a striking red dress with a high slit and refined V-neckline, proving that boldness can exist within restraint. Turtleneck silhouettes, enhanced by trompe l’oeil bodysuit outlines, traced the body’s form, offering a sensuality that felt intimate rather than overt. Practicality remained central, with hidden pockets discreetly woven into garments, reinforcing the idea that elegance should be functional. Accessories continued this ethos, as Bevza revived her signature crushed grain bag, underscoring her dedication to timeless design over seasonal trends. By looking to the past while refining for the present, Bevza delivered a collection that was both enduring and relevant, a masterclass in subtle seduction and sartorial longevity.
