Words by Sonia Staali

Have you ever asked where the remains from chopped wood in factories or waste dumps go? Well, the visionary Nana Boateng Osei, founder of a rising sunglasses brand, had in mind a vision of change. He had the brilliant idea of collecting those pieces of wood to create Bôhten.

The whole concept revolves around ecology and supporting local businesses. In the green perspective, you discover that every sun glass is made of recycled wood or bamboo. For Nana’s first collection, there are three styles : the Zebrawood Barklae, Redwood Barklae and the Bamboo Barklae. All his designs reflect high quality with a sense of style and every frame is designed to fit every feature. With regards to the local support aspect, the brand ensures that all packaging is produced locally with the same standard as that of the products.

Bôhten’s designs support a social cause for waste management and  is represented in a creative way. This eco-luxury brand endeavours to communicate it’s passion for fashion and it’s love for a clean environment through it’s concepts. It has never been so easy to make such a great fashion statement while having an ecological product.
