KATSEYE’s Halloween Show Was a Treat

On October 30, global sensation KATSEYE treated Montreal fans to a special show by dressing up with them in Halloween outfits, turning the Bell Centre into a costumed dance party that was so much fun it was scary. Their return to Canada was triumphant, with beautiful vocals, powerful dance moves, and heartwarming fan moments.

In November 2025, global girl group KATSEYE made their Canadian debut in Toronto at a venue with a 5,000-seat capacity. Who would’ve thought that, not even a year later, they would make their return to Canada by quadrupling that number, selling out the Bell Centre, Montreal’s biggest indoor concert venue.

KATSEYE’s evolution was impressive not only from a commercial standpoint, but also from a performance perspective. On this first Canadian stop of The Wildworld Tour, the girls demonstrated their growth as artists. They seemed even more self-assured and confident than before, not only in their vocals and dance moves, but in their general attitude and aura. They had climbed their way to international stardom, and they knew they had earned their place performing across the world’s largest arenas on their first worldwide tour.

While the success of their Canadian return was no surprise, Montreal EYEKONS (KATSEYE’s fandom name) were thrilled by the unexpected appearance of the members in Halloween costumes. Their special Halloween show started off with the group backlit just like any stop of the tour, only to reveal all four present members dressed up as DC superheroes and villains: Daniela as Wonder Woman, Megan as Poison Ivy, Lara as Catwoman, and Yoonchae as Harley Quinn.

KATSEYE followed their Halloween surprise with the first song of the night: “Hootie Frutti.” The track is the third single from Wild, the EP that The Wildworld Tour is in support of. With Brazilian funk influences, “Hootie Frutti” became the anthem of the summer for many EYEKONS, and its live rendition served as a final warm breeze as temperatures started cooling in late October. The members danced with unbridled energy, featuring wide shaking, twirling, and rolling dance moves, with Yoonchae in particular stealing the show with her iconic hip moves during the chorus. Montreal fans couldn’t help but dance along, setting the tone for a fun night that was only getting started.

KATSEYE kept the momentum going with “Internet Girl,” “That Way,” “Touch,” and “Mean Girls,” before Daniela took the spotlight for one of the most heartwarming moments of the night. She picked out a lucky EYEKON in a white dress from the crowd to dance an excerpt from “Gabriela” with her on stage. “Gabriela” is one of KATSEYE’s biggest hits. The Latin-inspired track went viral online and performed very well on the charts in the summer of last year. And who better to give it an introduction than Daniela, with her Latin-inspired solo dance break where she showcased her Cuban and Venezuelan roots. She showed the audience why she is considered one of the strongest dancers in KATSEYE with a choreography that was fast and wild, but controlled and precise at the same time. Daniela wowed the crowd, flipping upside down, being lifted through the air, and landing back on stage in front splits

The other three members then joined Daniela on stage for the live rendition of “Gabriela.” The whole Bell Centre started yelling the lyrics back at the girls and replicating the iconic hand twirl movement from the choreography. The arena flashed pink as the “Eyeliners,” KATSEYE’s official fan light sticks, lit up to the beat. The members finished off “Gabriela” with a dance break similar to last year’s in Toronto, switching the color palette of the flowy dresses and roses from red and black to purple and gray for this year’s tour.

After the dance break, Lara exclaimed to the crowd, “Can I see those pinkies in the air?” before the members launched into “Pinky Up,” Wild’s lead single. EYEKONS started poking the air with their pinky fingers, mimicking their idols throughout the song. Towards its end, Megan made her way behind a DJ booth as the other members danced as if they were in a nightclub, introducing EDM elements to the track. DJ Megan then stepped in front of the mixing booth as the other members left the stage to give her room for her solo. What ensued was a full rave version of “Pinky Up,” where Megan showed off her powerful yet precise dance moves, turning the show into a full-blown EDM festival.

After that burst of energy, KATSEYE reeled it back for a calmer segment with “Tonight I Might,” “I’m Pretty,” and “Time Lapse.” Yoonchae remarked that “Time Lapse,” part of the soundtrack of the K-Drama Good Boy, was special for her because she could sing in Korean, her native tongue. The intimate vibe of the track was the perfect opportunity for all four members to come down into the crowd to be even closer to their fans. They held hands with and signed autographs for lucky EYEKONS as they sang, even posing with a fan who had dressed up in a banana costume for Halloween and wishing a happy birthday to a young EYEKON in a princess costume.

Keeping with the serene ambiance, it was time for Lara’s solo “Unloveu.” She noted that this song was special for her because she was the one who wrote it. In fact, this is the first song by KATSEYE to be written by one of the members. Lara shared that she had gone through a lot of heartbreak which had taught her lessons that she wanted to share with EYEKONS through this song. She started off the track singing while playing a piano with “RAJ” written in bold serif, the stripped-back production fitting the intimacy of the song and allowing her impressive vocals and high notes to shine.

A few songs later, the arena became washed in green, perfect for Halloween, as Yoonchae took the stage for her solo dance break. To the backdrop of sirens, she performed a high-octane choreography full of slashes, punches, and kicks, as if she were fighting off opponents, an effect amplified by her Harley Quinn costume.

Before the final song of the night, KATSEYE took a group photo with all of the EYEKONS in the Bell Centre, fully embracing the Halloween spirit by adding props to their costumes for the photo: Daniela picked up Wonder Woman’s Lasso of Truth, Lara donned Catwoman’s cowl, and Yoonchae swung Harley Quinn’s iconic bat.

The group then performed “Gnarly,” the song that had really pushed them into the mainstream. Once again, EYEKONS had the lyrics and entire choreography memorized, singing and dancing along with the members. And just when fans thought the night was over, KATSEYE ended the show with a bang of confetti and smaller individual dance breaks to highlight each member one last time.

Just one year after their debut tour, KATSEYE is selling out arenas, blossoming into fully realized performers capable of commanding any stage. Their Montreal concert was frighteningly fun, full of wholesome fan moments and Halloween surprises. If this is what KATSEYE can pull off on their first world tour, Montreal EYEKONS can only wonder what tricks (and treats) the girls will have up their sleeves when they return.
