Postcards from Capri: Inside Wiskii’s New Italian Riviera-Inspired Summer Collection

Capri does something to you. The light is different there. Sharper off the water in the morning, then warm and amber by the time you are sitting somewhere with a glass of something cold and nowhere to be. The island has a specific visual grammar: white linen, bold colour, the kind of effortless polish that looks undone but is never accidental.

Wiskii looked at all of that and built a collection around it. Postcards from Capri is the brand’s newest summer edit, and the name does the work honestly. These are not pieces inspired by a vague idea of Italy. They are designed with a specific world in mind: beach clubs in the morning, a yacht by noon, aperitivo somewhere with a view by six.

Wiskii’s Postcards from Capri Collection: What the Italian Riviera Inspired

The Italian Riviera has been dressing women well for decades, and not by accident. The aesthetic that emerged from Capri, Positano, and the Amalfi coast in the 1960s, and never really left, is built on a few constants: saturated colour worn without apology, silhouettes that move, and the refusal to look like you are trying too hard.

Wiskii’s Postcards from Capri collection lands squarely inside that tradition. The colour palette pulls from the island itself: blues that read like the water at noon, warm neutrals, the kind of coral and terracotta tones you see in the architecture along the coast. Worn together, the pieces have a cohesion that is rare in activewear collections, which tend to treat colour as an afterthought.

The silhouettes follow a similar logic. Scallop detailing, contrast edges, low rises, and draped lines that reference resort wear without abandoning the performance engineering underneath. These are not costumes. They are clothes built to move in, designed to look like something else entirely.

How Wiskii’s Riviera Pieces Transition from Wellness to Resort Occasions

The strongest argument for a collection like this is the transition. Not the workout, not the aperitivo, but the hour between them when you are still warm from the morning and not yet ready to change into something else.

Activewear has been quietly colonising that in-between space for years. The question is which pieces actually hold up in it, and which ones signal gym and nothing else. Wiskii’s Postcards from Capri collection was designed specifically for that gap.

The Riviera Kinetic Dress is the clearest example of this. A single piece that reads as sport in motion and something else entirely when you are standing still. Pair it with a sandal and a tote and you are not wearing activewear. You are wearing a dress that happens to perform.

The Riviera Scallop Contrast Skirt works on the same principle. The scallop hem and contrast edge give it a resort quality that has nothing to do with sport, even though the construction beneath is built for movement. Worn over the Riviera Scallop Contrast Halter Bra, the combination reads as a complete look. Not an outfit assembled from gym pieces. An actual outfit.

The Scallop Detail: Wiskii’s Signature Resort-Activewear Aesthetic Explained

Scallop detailing is everywhere in this collection, and not by accident. It is one of those design choices that does several things at once: it references the texture of the coastline, it adds a visual softness that smooths the line between sport and leisure, and it photographs in a way that flat hems simply do not.

The Scallop Contrast Scrunch Legging pairs with the Dreamy Scallop Halter Bra in a way that feels cohesive and deliberate. The scrunch texture on the legging and the soft scallop on the bra share a visual language. Side by side, they look like they were meant to be worn together, which of course they were.

The Riviera Low Rise Capri Legging takes a slightly different angle. The low rise and cropped length reference the easy, sun-warmed aesthetic of Italian beach dressing rather than the sculpted silhouette of most activewear. Worn with a halter and a pair of mules, you could step off a boat in it and walk straight into lunch without a second thought.

How Activewear Is Redefining Summer Dressing in 2025

This shift has been building for a while, but Postcards from Capri makes the argument clearly. The old model, performance clothing for exercise and everything else for life, does not reflect how people actually dress anymore. The categories have collapsed, and the brands doing it well are the ones that stopped treating activewear as a subcategory and started treating it as fashion.

Wiskii sits in that group. The Postcards from Capri collection does not apologise for being activewear, but it does not lead with it either. The story it tells is a summer one: colour, coastline, movement, ease. The performance engineering is there. It just is not the headline.

For women who move through their days without stopping to change, who want clothes that hold up in motion and look intentional at rest, that is the right story to tell.
