Sujitha Shivajothi, a Sri Lankan Canadian designer, founded Shivajothi, a gender-inclusive design label. It was always crucial for her that her label represented the flow of clothing. She imagined developing a label that resembled a vast wardrobe that everyone could shop in since she grew up borrowing clothing from every member of her family. She’d always wondered why garments were gendered, and wanted to avoid that idea.
