As Canadians, summertime is when we emerge from our homes, basking in the sun and the water and the long days. We take time off of work, we gather, we travel to lakes and rivers and oceans. We celebrate another winter survived, another year passed.
This year, 2020, with the entire world looking a bit different, Canada is no exception. The hot and sunny days hum with an underlying energy of uncertainty and anxiety. Our gatherings are smaller, our travel is closer. We do, however, remain resilient and hopeful as time passes. Finding gratitude in this Silent Summer.
