The “Genesis” collection symbolises a re-awakening; a new beginning that was borne out of the rebrand that the brand experienced in 2021. Prior to 2021, Style Faculty was known as “Finery by Crown”. To Olajumoke, the creative director of the brand; “Genesis” symbolises the beginning of her journey as a style connoisseur, within the fashion landscape; and to a Style Faculty woman, it represents the beginning of a style conscious era.

Each piece in the collection represents a new chapter in Style Faculty’s creative evolution; Just like the word “genesis” means beginnings and origins, this collection marks the inception of Olajumoke’s distinctive mark in the industry, capturing the essence of innovation, reinvention, and the limitless possibilities that lie ahead. Inspired by the enchanting allure of gemstones, the designs in the collection are named after specific gemstones, reflecting their colours, textures, and energies. From the deep hues of onyx to the ethereal shimmer of moonstone, each design encapsulates the beauty and mystique of these precious stones.

As a brand, Style Faculty stands out for its commitment to sustainability and zero waste. By incorporating eco-conscious materials into their design process and embracing diversity and individuality, the brand fosters a congenial relationship with the planet and empowers individuals to express themselves authentically. Style Faculty’s forward-thinking initiatives (including the use of eco-friendly packaging and sustainable fabric), and their proactiveness to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG7) set them apart in the Nigerian Fashion scene.

Style Faculty’s “Genesis” collection is not just a showcase of exquisite designs that cater to the average, modern woman, but it is a testament to the brand’s unwavering commitment to making a positive impact in the world of fashion. With each stitch, Style Faculty leads the way toward a more sustainable, inclusive, and innovative future in the industry.

As Style Faculty looks to the future, its commitment to sustainability, inclusivity, and innovation will continue to drive change in the fashion industry, particularly in Nigeria. By championing social and environmental causes, the brand will inspire others to follow suit and lead by example. Style Faculty’s dedication to empowering individuals to embrace their unique style and fostering authenticity will shape a more conscientious and impactful fashion industry for generations to come.
