Living abroad off of your dreams is something many dream of, yet not many have the chance to live. Photographer Anna Syzrantceva however, has been able to live on her dreams from the modeling path to the photographer path. Learned photography in Bali during the pandemic, she now shoots all over the world in Moscow, Paris, Barcelona and Bali. Currently living and working in Dubai, we had the chance to discuss with her of her work – photographs of women’s feminine nature and beauty, which Anna loves to surround herself with.

I like to be motivated and inspired by women, my clients and my models behind the camera are my muses.

Can you tell us a little bit about who you are ( Where you are born, where you were schooled, how was your childhood, what made you the person you are today )

I was born in Saint Petersburg, cultural capital of Russia. I think love to art I got since childhood, when my grandmother forced me to go to museums and theaters every weekend. Back then I didn’t cherish it and didn’t understand why I have to go there, but only with age realized how cool and useful was that. Now my passion for art grew and I can only thank my grandmother for teaching me that since the very beginning

You lived in China for 6 years before the pandemic. What has living abroad brought you ?

Living abroad and especially in Asia taught me how to survive in unknown world. Also I came to China when I was 18 years old and it was a start of my adult’s life journey. I had to learn English, some little Chinese to communicate, I had to pay my bills by myself and it was all so new to me. But living abroad and traveling makes you citizen of the world. Wherever you go- you can adjust faster, you probably already have some local friends. You become free.

What has made you change from model to photographer ?

10 years of modeling was pretty much enough, and organizing a shoot is much more fun than just posing. Changes are always great for us.

If you had to pick one photoshoot or collaboration that really was important for you, which one was it and why ?

Hard question as I don’t know the details, but collaboration are always fun! Creative people gather together for the same goal- to make the idea come true

If you could should any model for any brand, what would be your dream shoot ?

My dream shoot would be shooting for YSL, they are simply the best.

And what is the future of Anna’s career in the next 5 to 10 years? Where do you see yourself?

Hard to predict especially nowadays. Hopefully my dream shooting will come true one day:)
