Back to basics – Concrete interior design

By Marie-Pier Chouinard

We have had a very strong and long lasting relationship with concrete over the years. What was once associated with unfinished lofts or deserted warehouses is now part of a new trend in modern and minimal interior design. The complete absence of covering paired with steel, wood, natural tones or white accessories is giving our home a distinctly industrial and urban feel. Designers are taking concrete even further, using this material to make light fixtures, furniture and simplified accessories for interior designs.
