The business world is endlessly competitive and cut-throat, leaving countless business owners scrambling to find a way in which to stand out from the crowd. The secret lies in differentiating your brand by tweaking its style and by adding plenty of fashionable flair as per the current global trends. Here is some advice to put into practice.

Reinvent your brand identity

Sometimes companies can grow tired of the same old look and feel of their business and want to revamp their brand for the better. If this is the case for you, it could be time to give your corporate identity a much-needed makeover. This could be as simple as selecting new colours to represent your business, or it could be as complex as completely changing your logo, font, and slogan. It all depends on how big of a change you want to see. Just remember to ensure consistency across all channels if you do opt to reinvent your brand. For instance, don’t alter your shop front and website only to continue using the same business cards. Instead, make sure to purchase new custom printed business cards using this new-found style. Consistency promises to boost your overall image and reputation.

Consult with an expert

Even if you believe that you have a keen eye for detail or a penchant for design, it is always worthwhile to consult with an expert regarding your corporate image. This is important, regardless of whether you are just starting out and crafting a business identity from scratch or you are planning on tweaking your already existing CI.

Don’t be afraid to get creative

Draw inspiration from current fashion trends and fads within the design realm if you wish – but don’t necessarily let those trends dictate the direction that you want to go in. The crucial thing is to ensure that your corporate image is easy to relate to, specifically by your target audience. So do plenty of research in this regard. Let your target audience inspire you and get those creative juices flowing!

Look at your competition

Conduct a study around your competitions’ brand identities. What is it about those designs that you feel stands out the most? What would you change about them if you were the business owner? These musings will provide you with a solid place to start when it comes to adding style and flair to your own brand. You should also pay attention to creating a strong differentiation between your brand and your competition. Steer clear of using the same colours and similar fonts if at all possible.

Test it out

Not sure about how your new look is going to be received? Put it to the test before you make it permanent. There are online survey tools that are free to use and which will allow you to gather helpful insights before making those all-important final finishing touches to your new look. Be sure to use social media marketing to encourage the right demographics to take part in your survey.

Here’s to a brand-new fresh and fashionable corporate aesthetic that is certain to make waves in your industry.
